Princess Peach here reporting on day 3 DC adventures. Today we woke up a bit later at 6:30 then got breakfast and headed out around 8. Our first stop this morning was the Arlington National Cemetery, which was gorgeous and much larger than expected. At 10:00am we saw the Changing of the Guard ceremony then listened to our tour guide Carl talk about some history while sitting in the amphitheater. Then, we wandered through the cemetery and found famous graves like the Kennedy family and Ruth Bader Ginsburg!

Time for lunch, we went to the same plaza as yesterday and got Brown Box yet again! After lunch, we made several stops starting with the World War II Memorial, where we got some quick flicks with the Ohio sign and Washington Monument. Then, we spent around 2.5 hours exploring the holocaust museum, which was a very solemn, educational, and eye opening experience. School only teaches you so much, and seeing videos from camps and victims speaking was an incredible opportunity.

After this, we made a quick hour stop at the National Portrait Gallery and wandered around looking at art. There were some portraits of presidents and other influential people, which was neat because usually we only see these in textbooks. Also our second RBG sighting of the day 🙌

Dinner time! We walked to the Hard Rock Cafe and munched a much needed, delicious meal. Then, we headed out to our Moonlight Monument Tour for tours and information from Carl about the Vietnam, Korean, and Lincoln memorials. Headed back to hotel for a late night, and tomorrow is our last day :( Check back for an update from the bus home tomorrow!
